New Role-Play Village Opens, Offering Parents a Relaxing Retreat

A new family-friendly venue has launched in Aintree, providing children with a creative play environment while allowing parents to unwind. The **Mini Villagers Role Play Village**, located on **Hanson Road**, features 11 distinct areas designed to inspire children’s imagination and foster social interaction. The facility officially opened its doors recently, aiming to create a supportive community space for families.

Co-owner **Jessica Maristani** was inspired to create this unique venue after a visit to a similar role-play village in Ipswich. She realized there was a significant lack of spaces where parents could feel relaxed while their children engaged in imaginative play. “There’s just really like a lack of places where parents can come and feel really de-stressed and just relax,” Maristani explained. The venue focuses on child-led play, allowing children to explore their interests in a nurturing environment.

Inside the village, children can engage in various role-playing activities across child-sized workshops that include a police station, hospital, market, beauty salon, and fire station. Each area is designed to facilitate imaginative play, encouraging independence and socialization among young visitors.

Maristani has three children—aged one, four, and eight—and wanted to create a space that accommodates their different needs and interests. She emphasized the importance of a clean, aesthetically pleasing environment that allows both children and parents to thrive. “If parents are overwhelmed, you can come have a coffee with family, friends, and they can see the children play as well,” she stated.

The venue also features an onsite café, supplied by **Crosby Coffee**, where visitors can enjoy a variety of food options, including paninis, granola bowls, and acai bowls. This combination of play and relaxation is central to the Mini Villagers concept, which aims to foster connections among parents and caregivers.

Maristani noted that many children’s spaces can be overwhelming for adults due to loud noises and overstimulation. To counter this, every design element at Mini Villagers has been intentionally chosen. The use of pastel tones throughout the venue helps create a calming atmosphere, reducing sensory overload for both children and their parents. “The colours, materials, and layout were carefully selected with both children and parents in mind,” she added.

Additionally, the village features a whimsical party room designed to provide a special yet calming environment for celebrations. This space can be decorated to reflect the personality of each child, allowing families to create memorable experiences without feeling overstimulated.

Mini Villagers Role Play Village aims to be more than just a play area; it is a community hub built on the belief that meaningful play supports children’s development while providing parents with a much-needed space to connect. “When children are supported through meaningful play and parents are given space to connect, families thrive,” Maristani concluded.
