Known as “The Irish Drago,” McCullagh had an impressive amateur career, clinching the Ulster Elite heavyweight title in 2019 and proudly representing Ireland in international tournaments. His professional career included two victories, with his last fight occurring in April 2021.
The young boxer was a member of the St. John Bosco club in West Belfast and also fought for his family’s McCullagh’s ABC in Dunmurry. He was the grandson of the revered boxing coach Paul McCullagh, who significantly impacted the sport before his passing in October 2018 at the age of 72.
