To achieve fluffy towels, Dimitrov recommends using white vinegar. He suggests adding 250 milliliters of white vinegar to the washing machine drum alongside the usual liquid detergent. After washing, the towels can be dried as normal. This method not only softens the fibers but also helps remove residual dirt, maintaining the towels’ freshness.
Another effective option involves the use of bicarbonate of soda. To utilize this method, Dimitrov advises mixing eight tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda with laundry detergent before adding it to the washing machine. This combination works to loosen the fibers of the towels, ensuring they remain absorbent and comfortable.
Many individuals express concerns about using white vinegar due to its strong scent. However, Dimitrov assures that towels will not retain any vinegar smell after washing. White vinegar is widely available in supermarkets, including Tesco, where it can be purchased for as little as 35 pence.
