Birmingham Airport (BHX) is set to enhance its dining options with the announcement of four new eateries, including the popular pan-Asian restaurant chain, Wagamama. This addition is expected to open in the departure terminal by the busy spring or summer period of 2026.
The arrival of Wagamama follows the chain’s existing presence in Birmingham, where it operates three restaurants located at the Bullring, off New Street, and Brindleyplace, as well as additional outlets in Solihull and Merry Hill shopping centre. The specific opening date for the BHX location has not yet been confirmed, but the anticipation is building among frequent travellers.
Alongside Wagamama, three other mystery retailers are also slated to debut at Birmingham Airport before the end of summer 2026. While the identities of these new outlets remain undisclosed, sources indicate they may provide additional dining options for passengers seeking diverse culinary experiences.
In addition to these new establishments, Birmingham Airport will soon welcome another restaurant, The Indian Brewery Company, renowned for its craft beers and innovative Indian street food. The restaurant is set to offer popular items such as “Juicy Mango Pale Ale” and “Pekok Lager” on tap, along with a unique selection of Indian pizzas and breakfast naan sandwiches.
Construction for The Indian Brewery Company is currently underway, with an anticipated opening next month. This is part of a broader initiative to enhance the overall passenger experience at BHX, which includes plans for a new and improved airport lounge scheduled for 2026.
As Birmingham Airport continues to evolve, these new dining options reflect a commitment to providing travellers with quality and variety, making their journey more enjoyable. Further updates regarding the mystery retailers and lounge developments are expected to be announced in the coming months.
