Right Said Fred Set to Perform at Long Walk Live Festival

Right Said Fred, the iconic 90s pop band known for hits such as “I’m Too Sexy” and “Deeply Dippy,” has been confirmed to perform at the upcoming Long Walk Live festival. Scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2024, the band will take the stage in the early evening, adding to a vibrant line-up expected to attract numerous attendees.

Long Walk Live is a new two-day music festival taking place on June 26 and 27 at the scenic Long Walk in Windsor, England. Produced by the team behind local events like the Platinum Jubilee and Coronation celebrations, the festival aims to showcase a diverse array of musical talent, from headliner bands to professional tribute acts. Notably, all proceeds from the event will support the Windsor community through the Windsor Festival and The Prince Philip Trust Fund.

Festival Highlights and Line-Up Details

Right Said Fred, led by Windsor residents Richard and Fred Fairbrass, will perform immediately before the popular duo Boyzlife, comprised of Keith Duffy from Boyzone and Brian McFadden from Westlife, who will close the night with selections from their extensive catalogues. The festival will also feature tribute performances earlier in the day, including a Taylor Swift tribute band, So Taylor, and an Ed Sheeran tribute act, Mattmatics.

In a statement, Right Said Fred expressed their excitement about the event, stating, “Having been Berkshire residents for many years, we’re really looking forward to playing on our home turf.” The festival committee is equally enthusiastic, with Chris Aitken, chairman of the Windsor Festival, noting, “We’re thrilled to welcome Right Said Fred to Long Walk Live. Their music is instantly familiar, fun, and unifying — exactly the kind of energy we want to bring to Saturday night.”

Friday’s line-up promises its own excitement, featuring Chesney Hawkes, known for his hit “The One and Only,” alongside tribute acts DUA BEYOND and ABBA INFERNO.
