Urgent Update: Air Quality Data Transmission Halted in Pljevlja

URGENT UPDATE: Data transmission from the air quality monitoring station at Gagovića Imanje in Pljevlja has been halted, according to the Agency for Environmental Protection. The interruption occurred on December 10, 2023, at 1:00 PM, raising immediate concerns about air quality data availability.

Authorities confirmed that the Center for Ecotoxicological Testing (CETI) acted swiftly to investigate the issue. Teams found that all measuring equipment and instruments were functioning normally, with stable electrical power. The disruption, they explained, is due to an internet connectivity issue, specifically insufficient signal flow preventing data from being sent to the central server.

Despite attempts to reset the data transmission system, the connection has not yet been reestablished. The agency reassured the public that all collected data is being continuously stored securely in the station’s internal memory, known as a data logger.

Once the internet connection is restored, all stored data will be transmitted to the server and made available to the public. The agency is currently working with the internet provider to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.

This incident highlights the critical need for reliable data transmission systems in monitoring air quality, especially in regions where environmental health is a pressing concern. Stay tuned for updates as the agency works to rectify the situation.
