Data Transmission Halted at Air Quality Station in Pljevlja

Data transmission has been interrupted at the air quality monitoring station located at Gagovića Imanje in Pljevlja. The Agency for Environmental Protection announced today that the disruption occurred on December 10, 2023, at 13:00 local time.

Technical teams from the Center for Ecotoxicological Testing (CETI) responded immediately to the situation. Upon inspection, they confirmed that all measuring equipment and instruments were functioning properly, and that the power supply was stable. The issue was traced to an internet connectivity problem, specifically inadequate signal flow preventing collected data from being transmitted to the central server.

Despite attempts to reset the data transmission system, the connection has not yet been restored. According to the agency’s statement, all measurement data continues to be collected and securely stored in the internal memory of the station.

Once a stable internet connection is established, the stored data will be transferred to the server and made accessible to the public. The agency emphasized that they are actively working with the internet service provider to resolve the connectivity issue as swiftly as possible.

This interruption highlights the importance of reliable infrastructure for environmental monitoring and the potential challenges faced in data transmission. The Agency for Environmental Protection remains committed to ensuring that air quality data is continuously monitored and made available for public awareness.
