Police Arrest 22-Year-Old in Podgorica for Drug Trafficking

UPDATE: Authorities in Podgorica have arrested a 22-year-old man, identified as P.V., following a police operation targeting street-level drug sales. The operation, conducted yesterday, led to a significant seizure of illegal narcotics, marking a critical step in the crackdown on drug trafficking in the region.

Police from the Department of Security in Podgorica executed a court-approved search of an apartment used by P.V. and found him alongside another individual, B.Š., also aged 22. During the search, officers uncovered alarming quantities of drugs including two packages of cocaine, seven packages of marijuana, and four packages containing 145 ecstasy pills. Additionally, authorities seized a homemade marijuana cigarette and a precision scale used for measuring drugs.

The operation underscores the ongoing efforts by the Montenegrin Police to dismantle networks of street dealers. Following the collection of evidence, the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica ordered the arrest of P.V. on charges of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotics, as well as facilitating drug use.
