Montenegro’s Raičević and Roganović Secure Semifinal Spots

URGENT UPDATE: Montenegro’s boxing team celebrates a remarkable achievement at the European Championship for Juniors in Germany, with Nikola Raičević and Matija Roganović both clinching spots in the semifinals, ensuring at least bronze medals for their country.

In the 50 kg category, Raičević triumphed over Greek boxer Dimostenis Zikosas with a decisive 4:1 judges’ decision. Despite trailing in the first round (3:2), Raičević showcased exceptional skill, discipline, and composure in the following rounds, proving Montenegro’s promising future in boxing. He will face Turkish competitor Berat Ahduman in the semifinals.

Roganović delivered an even more dominant performance at 80 kg, decisively defeating Israeli boxer Georg Asaf, the European runner-up for schoolboys. Roganović’s victory, achieving maximum points and even putting Asaf in a knockdown, was both expected and well-deserved. His next opponent will be Ukrainian Dmitro Kasianenko, who eliminated Latvian Vladislav Ustinovs in the quarterfinals.
