South Park Primary School Earns High Praise in Inspection Report

An inspection by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) has resulted in commendations for South Park Primary School in East Kilbride. The evaluation, conducted in November 2022, is part of a broader initiative aimed at reviewing primary education across Scotland. Findings from the inspection were presented to the East Kilbride Area Committee on February 2, 2023.

Yvonne Donaldson, the acting head teacher, expressed her delight at the inspection results. “We’re absolutely delighted that the values that are working for children, staff, parents and community have been acknowledged,” she stated. Donaldson emphasized that the report underscores the positive relationships between children and staff, which are essential for creating an inclusive environment.

The report further commended the school’s focus on high-quality learning and teaching. Donaldson noted that the staff is committed to continual improvement through professional development.
