Netflix has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated comedy-thriller, How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, created by Lisa McGee, the mind behind the acclaimed series Derry Girls. The show is set to premiere on February 12, 2024, giving fans an exciting glimpse into McGee’s latest project.
The series centers on three lifelong friends—Saoirse, a clever and chaotic TV writer; Robyn, a glamorous yet stressed mother of three; and Dara, a dependable but inhibited carer. Now in their late 30s, the trio embarks on a thrilling adventure following the unexpected news of the death of Greta, the estranged fourth member of their childhood gang. An eerie series of events unfolds at Greta’s wake, leading them on a dark, dangerous, and humorous journey across Ireland and beyond as they strive to uncover the truth about their shared past.
“This is the show I’ve always wanted to make; a mash-up of my two favourite genres, mystery and comedy,” McGee shared with Netflix’s companion site, Tudum.
