Donald Trump is facing renewed scrutiny regarding his health following a speech delivered at his home in Mar-a-Lago. The address, which came after the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, drew attention on social media as observers noted unusual aspects of Trump’s speech delivery. Viewers reported that the former President appeared to struggle with slurred speech and seemed to have difficulty keeping his eyes open, raising concerns about his cognitive and physical well-being.
Clips shared online prompted a range of comments, with one user suggesting that Trump appeared to be “sniffing a lot” and implied he might have taken Adderall prior to his appearance. Others echoed these sentiments, questioning Trump’s ability to read from a prepared script effectively. One commenter remarked, “Dude can’t even read properly,” while another described his presentation as “borderline nonsensical.”
Despite these observations, Trump previously underwent a CT scan and did not raise health concerns at that time. Nonetheless, speculation has persisted, particularly given that Trump is the oldest individual to assume the presidency in the United States. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, he expressed frustration about the ongoing rumors surrounding his health, stating, “Let’s talk about health again for the 25th time…”
During the same interview, the former President disclosed that he has been taking higher doses of aspirin than what his doctor recommends. “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” he explained. However, Dr. Farmi Farah, an invasive cardiologist, warned against taking aspirin in doses exceeding medical guidance. “Low-dose aspirin is 81 milligrams once a day, and full-dose is 325 milligrams once a day. Typically speaking, we do not recommend the full-dose aspirin,” she advised. Dr. Farah emphasized the associated risks, particularly gastrointestinal bleeding for those on higher doses.
Trump has also claimed to have passed cognitive tests with perfect scores multiple times. On his Truth Social account, he asserted that he is in “PERFECT HEALTH,” emphasizing that he has “ACED” cognitive examinations conducted on him. “The White House Doctors have just reported that I am in ‘PERFECT HEALTH,'” he stated, highlighting the significance of cognitive testing for government officials, which he believes should be mandatory.
Despite Trump’s assertions of good health, public perception remains skeptical, with many continuing to question his overall wellness and cognitive abilities. As discussions about his health persist, the former President’s recent speech has reignited debates about the implications of his age and fitness for political leadership.
