On December 21, 2023, St Florence Church will welcome attendees of all ages for its annual Christingle service, an event designed to celebrate the festive season. This gathering is open to both longtime parishioners and newcomers, fostering a sense of community during this special time of year.
Christmas Tree Festival Continues Through Christmas Eve
Coinciding with the Christingle service is the Christmas Tree Festival, which opened on December 13 at St Florentius Church. The festival features a variety of beautifully decorated trees that will remain on display until Christmas Eve. This initiative aims to bring together individuals and families in a festive atmosphere, showcasing the creativity of local participants.
Following the Christingle service, St Florence Church will host a Eucharist service on Christmas Day, starting at 10:30 AM. This service will provide a reflective moment for attendees, marking the conclusion of the Christmas celebrations with traditional hymns and readings.
The Christingle service and Christmas Tree Festival represent not just religious observances, but also community bonding experiences that highlight the spirit of giving and togetherness that characterizes the holiday season. As families come together, these events serve to strengthen connections within the community, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for all.
