Sky Offers 4K Smart TVs for Just 14p Daily Ahead of Deadline

Sky is offering a limited-time deal on its 4K smart televisions, allowing customers to purchase the Sky Glass Air for as little as £4.25 per month. This promotional offer is part of the final phase of Sky’s winter sale, which concludes at 11:59 PM on February 11, 2024. Customers who take advantage of this deal can enjoy a 43-inch 4K TV along with a Sky TV subscription starting at £15, bringing the total monthly cost to £21.

The Sky Glass Air represents the most affordable pricing seen for a Sky Glass television, with potential savings of up to £168 for those opting for the larger model. Additionally, a more advanced option, the Sky Glass Gen 2, has been reduced to £10.25 per month, down from £14. Time is of the essence, as these offers are set to expire soon.

For customers purchasing the Sky Glass Air before the deadline, the cost breaks down to approximately 14p per day for the 43-inch model, while the Gen 2 version will cost around 34p daily. It is important to note that these televisions come with 48-month financing agreements and must be bundled with a Sky TV package, such as Essential TV or Ultimate TV. These packages provide access to up to 140 channels, along with free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.

In comparison, Sky faces competition from Amazon, which has recently launched a new range of Fire TVs, including the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Series. This model is currently priced from £419.99 and is also available at a discounted rate until the same deadline.

All Sky Glass TVs operate through WiFi, eliminating the need for a satellite dish or Sky box, as all channels and applications are integrated. The Air model is designed to be a more budget-friendly version, sacrificing some features present in the premium Gen 2 model. Despite this, it still includes a 4K HDR Quantum Dot display and a Dolby Audio dual-speaker setup, although it lacks the integrated soundbar found in the Gen 2.

Technology experts from Uswitch have tested the Sky Glass Air, highlighting that despite the lower price point, it does not compromise on quality. In a review, they stated, “While the Sky Glass Air is lighter in weight than other models, it’s no lightweight when it comes to tech specs. The 4K Quantum Dot panel gives vivid colors and strong clarity for both streaming and live TV.” They also noted that the TV’s auto-enhance setting adjusts picture and sound based on the content being viewed.

For those seeking a well-rounded viewing experience at an affordable price, the Sky Glass Air may be an ideal choice. However, those who prioritize gaming or home cinema experiences might want to consider investing in the Sky Glass Gen 2 for enhanced features and performance.
