Harry Kane has initiated discussions regarding a new contract with Bayern Munich, as confirmed by reports from Germany. Currently, Kane’s agreement with the club is set to expire in summer 2027. The German champions are looking to extend his stay until 2028 or 2029.
Speaking to Sky Germany on Monday, Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl stated, “We are talking to Harry.” This announcement marks a significant step in securing the future of one of Europe’s top talents.
Kane’s Impact Since Joining Bayern
Since his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, Kane has made a remarkable impact in the Bundesliga. The forward joined Bayern for approximately £100 million (around $136 million). In just 126 appearances, he has netted 119 goals, showcasing his exceptional skill and consistency on the pitch.
Recently, Kane set a new record, becoming the fastest player in Bundesliga history to achieve 100 goal contributions. This milestone highlights his significant role in Bayern’s offensive strategy and overall team success.
Record-Breaking Career
Beyond his club achievements, Kane is also recognized as England’s all-time leading scorer, with 78 goals in 112 matches. His prolific scoring record places him among the elite in international football. Notably, he has scored a total of 213 goals for Tottenham, which leaves him 47 goals behind Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time top scorer.
As negotiations progress, both Kane and Bayern Munich remain focused on building a competitive team capable of securing titles in the upcoming seasons. The potential extension of Kane’s contract would not only solidify his place at the club but also reflect Bayern’s commitment to maintaining a strong squad in the Bundesliga and beyond.
