The construction of a vital road section from Slijepački Most to Berane has been successfully completed, marking a significant achievement in infrastructure development. The project, which spans a total length of 35 km, was finalized within the planned timeframe, despite facing numerous challenges.
Irfan Alomerović, an engineer with the construction company Bemax, confirmed the completion of the road section, highlighting the demanding nature of the project. The work involved a comprehensive reconstruction of the roadway, renovation of tunnels, rehabilitation of seven bridges, management of drainage systems, and stabilization of landslides and slopes.
Alomerović expressed satisfaction with the timely completion of the project, stating, “Despite the difficult terrain, short deadlines, additional work, and the high volume of traffic, we finished the necessary tasks as scheduled.” He emphasized that the new road meets all contemporary standards and regulations, providing a modern thoroughfare for the region.
In his remarks, Alomerović extended gratitude to a variety of stakeholders, including investors, supervisors, subcontractors, and other participants involved in the project. He also acknowledged the patience and understanding of local residents, whose cooperation proved invaluable throughout the construction process.
The completion of this road section not only enhances connectivity in the area but also represents a critical investment in the region’s infrastructure, supporting economic growth and community development.
