Two Minors Charged with Vehicle Theft in Plav Incident

Authorities in Plav have charged two minors with vehicle theft following an incident that occurred during the night of January 22-23, 2026. According to the Regional Security Centre “North,” the suspects, aged 17 and 14, allegedly discovered an unlocked vehicle, a VW Golf, parked at the local bus station and proceeded to drive away in it.

The vehicle’s owner, identified as A.D., reported the car missing to law enforcement on January 23. The police acted swiftly, leading to the identification and apprehension of the minors involved in the incident. The stolen vehicle was located and returned to its rightful owner shortly thereafter.

In a statement, the Police Directorate emphasized their commitment to addressing all forms of criminal activity to protect citizens’ property and safety. They noted, “Timely and effective measures to clarify all types of crime will continue to be the focus of police efforts.”
