The Ministry of European Affairs in Montenegro, in collaboration with the Center for Finance, has announced a workshop aimed at high school students titled “Europe Without Borders in Payments: Discover the Benefits of the SEPA System.” Scheduled for February 6, 2026, at Tanasije Pejatović Gymnasium, the event will commence at 12:10 PM.
This workshop serves to enhance understanding among young people regarding the advantages that Montenegro’s process of EU accession and potential future membership can bring to the country and its citizens. It aims to encourage active participation in the European integration process while also improving the financial literacy of the youth.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Bojana Bošković, the State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs, alongside Ivana Katnić from the Center for Finance. They will be joined by Jela Rakočević from the Central Bank of Montenegro and Nina Perunović from the Center for Finance, who will discuss the SEPA system and its various opportunities for Montenegrin citizens.
In addition to informative discussions, the workshop will include a knowledge quiz, with prizes awarded to the best-performing students. This interactive approach is designed to engage participants more effectively and deepen their understanding of financial systems and their implications for future economic integration within Europe.
The initiative is part of the broader EU4ME project, which is funded by the European Union. By focusing on empowering the younger generation, the workshop aims to contribute to Montenegro’s ongoing journey toward European integration and enhance the financial capabilities of its youth.
