Bell & Ross Launches Exclusive BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor Watch

Bell & Ross has introduced an exceptional new timepiece, the BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor, which showcases the brand’s ambitious venture into the world of Haute Horlogerie. This watch, characterized by its transparent steel and sapphire square case, features a skeletonized design that emphasizes the intricate mechanics at play.

The BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor is powered by the BR-CAL.389 caliber, which boasts a 58-hour power reserve. Limited to just 25 pieces, this exclusive watch is priced at $99,000 USD, with pre-orders available through the company’s website and deliveries set to start in December 2023.

Innovative Design Merges Art and Functionality

This new release marks a significant shift for Bell & Ross, moving beyond its traditional focus on aviation-inspired instruments. The design of the BR-X3 is a bold reinterpretation of the brand’s iconic square case, utilizing a combination of steel and sapphire to achieve remarkable transparency. The integration of the case and movement offers a comprehensive view of the watch’s intricate mechanics.

Inspiration for the design stems from the geometric abstraction of artist Piet Mondrian and the functional purity demonstrated by designer Charlotte Perriand. The skeletonized structure highlights strict orthogonal lines and a precise grid, while 26 rubies add vibrant red accents. The brushed bridges and polished edges reflect artisanal craftsmanship, creating a visually stunning piece.

Hours and minutes are displayed simply, with the time shown at the 2 o’clock position. This thoughtful placement allows the mechanical components to take center stage, enhancing the visual narrative of the watch.

Technical Excellence and Artful Aesthetics

At the heart of the BR-X3 is the BR-CAL.389 manufacture caliber, which artfully combines two prestigious complications within a slim 9 mm case. The flying tourbillon, located at 5:30, performs a captivating rotation that counteracts gravitational effects, contributing to the watch’s precision. Additionally, the micro-rotor ensures automatic winding, all while maintaining the watch’s sleek profile.

The timepiece is completed with a gray alligator strap and features a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. With a water resistance of up to 5 ATM, the BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor balances both technical prowess and minimalist aesthetics, transforming the watch into a mechanical ballet.

As Bell & Ross continues to push the boundaries of horology, the BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to precision and artistry in watchmaking. For enthusiasts and collectors alike, this limited edition offers a unique blend of innovation, design, and craftsmanship.
