Family Pleads for Justice One Year After Dad-to-Be’s Murder

UPDATE: The family of Curtis Green, a young father-to-be shot dead in Sydenham, London, is urgently appealing for information on the one-year anniversary of his unsolved murder. Green was gunned down on November 10, 2024, around 10:00 AM on Wells Park Road, leaving loved ones devastated and seeking justice.

Detectives believe that the 30-year-old entrepreneur attended a party at a nearby flat on Hensford Gardens the night before his tragic death. Despite the gravity of the situation, no one has been charged, prompting Green’s family to issue a heartfelt plea for anyone with information to step forward.

In a statement released through the Metropolitan Police, the family urged the community:

“London communities are interconnected through music, food, friendship, love, beliefs and blood. Violence on the streets and young people being murdered is a concern. We appeal to those who know something to be brave and come forward.”

They emphasized the emotional toll of losing Curtis, who was expecting a child in early 2025.

The family continued, expressing their grief:

“Curtis was and still is a much-loved member of our family and community. His son has now been born and will grow up not physically meeting his father. We miss Curtis every single second of every single day. We are pleading to you.”

The Metropolitan Police is calling for anyone who was in the vicinity of Hensford Gardens around the time of the shooting to come forward. Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend, who is leading the investigation, stated:

“The slightest bit of information can assist. You may not think what you have is important, but it may prove vital to this investigation.”

Furthermore, Crimestoppers is offering a £20,000 reward for information leading to a conviction. Reports can be made anonymously, and the reward will be available until February 10, 2026.

Two other individuals were injured in the shooting: a 27-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman. The man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the woman faced a long recovery after being shot in the legs. Police previously arrested two suspects in connection with the case, but they have since been released pending further inquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police at 101, quoting Operation Bansara or CAD 2527/10NOV24. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

As the investigation continues, the community remains hopeful that justice will prevail for Curtis Green and his family. This tragic case highlights the urgent need for accountability in preventing further violence on the streets of London.
