UPDATE: Mark Follos, site manager at Lioncourt Homes’ Heritage Walk development in Ironbridge, has just been named the regional winner for the West in the prestigious Pride in the Job Awards. This remarkable achievement highlights his commitment to excellence in homebuilding, placing him at the forefront of the UK’s construction industry.
This accolade comes after Follos’ impressive success during the Quality Award and Seal of Excellence phases of the competition this year. His recognition not only reflects his hard work but also the dedication of his entire team, emphasizing the collaborative effort that has gone into delivering high-quality homes.
In his own words, Follos expressed gratitude for his team:
“While my name is on the certificate, this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without my committed, expert team and our trades who have worked to the highest standards we’ve set.”
He also noted the strong relationships he has built with team members over the years, mentioning that many have become friends.
Follos, who was also the runner-up in the NHBC Pride in the Job Supreme category in 2022, has demonstrated exceptional leadership by overseeing the development of modern, energy-efficient homes that cater to a diverse range of buyers. Since construction began, the first homes have been occupied, showcasing Follos’ ability to navigate challenges effectively.
“The journey has its ups and downs, but we’re always focused on finding solutions,” Follos added. His approach prioritizes maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all tradespeople on-site are motivated to uphold high standards of quality.
Danny Tunstall, Construction Director at Lioncourt Homes, praised Follos and his team, stating,
“For Mark and the site team to be recognized for their dedication to build quality and raising standards in house building is a huge honour.”
Tunstall further acknowledged the essential roles played by contractors, suppliers, and advisors in achieving these high standards.
The regional winners, including Follos, will now advance to compete for the national Supreme Award, with winners set to be announced in January 2026. This next stage presents an exciting opportunity for Follos to showcase his leadership on a national level.
As the construction industry continues to evolve, Follos’ recognition serves as an important reminder of the impact that dedicated site managers have in shaping communities through quality homebuilding. The Heritage Walk team remains committed to raising the bar and delivering exceptional homes across the Midlands and South West.
Stay tuned for updates on the national competition as Follos competes for the Supreme Award. His journey not only highlights personal achievement but also reflects the collective success of his team and the broader commitment to excellence in the homebuilding sector.
