Joanna Page and Mathew Horne Reunite for New Podcast Series

Joanna Page and Mathew Horne, known for their beloved roles in the hit TV series Gavin and Stacey, have launched a new podcast titled Table for Four. The series, produced by Good Food, will feature intimate conversations with various celebrity guests, marking a return to the spotlight for the duo after their last appearance together during the show’s Christmas special in 2024.

The eight-episode series, set to air weekly, promises listeners a delightful blend of culinary experiences and engaging dialogue. Each episode invites a pair of well-known guests to join Page and Horne for a three-course meal, creating a relaxed atmosphere for storytelling. Among the anticipated guests are Matt Edmondson and Mollie King, along with singer Gary Barlow and TV personality Olly Smith.

Page expressed her excitement, stating, “Sitting around the dinner table with Mat and some of our favourite celebrities for a delicious meal and gorgeous conversation is an absolute dream.” Horne echoed her sentiments, adding, “It is brilliant to be back working alongside Joanna as we get to chat with other iconic pairings about their shared adventures.”

Each episode will focus on different themes, beginning with the guests’ first meetings and impressions over starters, followed by discussions on their current projects during the main course, and concluding with sneak peeks of future endeavors over dessert.

Good Food’s Senior Food Editor Samuel Goldsmith will handle the culinary side of the series, preparing recipes that listeners can recreate at home. This collaboration not only showcases the guests’ personalities but also highlights the joy of cooking and sharing meals together.

The reunion of Page and Horne comes after the immense success of Gavin and Stacey, which originally aired from 2007 to 2010 and returned for two Christmas specials in 2019 and 2024. The final episode was watched by a staggering 20 million viewers, solidifying the show’s place in British television history.

In a documentary following the last Christmas special, co-creator James Corden explained the decision not to continue the series, emphasizing the natural conclusion of the characters’ arcs. “Probably from the first Christmas special that we did, it felt like they had to end together,” he noted, capturing the essence of the show’s appeal.

As fans eagerly anticipate the new podcast, Page and Horne’s reunion not only rekindles fond memories of their television characters but also offers a fresh platform for engaging conversations and culinary delights. The first episode of Table for Four is set to launch in March 2026, inviting audiences to join the pair at their virtual dinner table.
