UPDATE: Niksic boxers have made a sensational start to their competitive year, claiming three gold medals at the prestigious Olympic Hopefuls tournament held in Palić, near Subotica. The triumphant team, under the guidance of Coach Boško Drašković, showcased their prowess by achieving an impressive record of six victories in six matches.
In a display of skill and determination, Nikola Raičević secured his spot in the finals with a first-round stoppage against a competitor from North Macedonia. Similarly, Andrija Nikitović battled through to the gold match against another North Macedonian fighter, while Ivan Tijanić dominated his Slovenian opponent, scoring three knockdowns before clinching victory.
The finals were nothing short of spectacular, with all three Niksic representatives dominating their bouts. Raičević’s outstanding performance earned him the title of Best Technician of the tournament, while Nikitović’s final match was recognized as the most combative of the event.
Coach Drašković expressed immense pride in his team’s performance, stating,
