Scots have an opportunity to seek employment at the Trump Turnberry resort, a luxury golf destination owned by Donald Trump. The resort, located near Girvan in Ayrshire, will host an employment fair on February 18, 2024, from 10:00 to 18:00. This event is designed to attract potential employees interested in joining the team at the five-star resort.
Attendees at the fair will receive guidance in completing their job applications, as well as a guided tour of the hotel. Light refreshments will be provided. To facilitate attendance, Trump Turnberry is offering shuttle bus services from key locations throughout Ayrshire, including Ayr and Maybole train stations, as well as the Queens Hotel in Girvan.

The resort features a hotel, three links golf courses, as well as lodge and cottage accommodations. Trump acquired the property in 2014 but stepped down from his directorship just before taking office as President of the United States in 2017.
The resort has faced challenges, including vandalism incidents linked to activists from Palestine Action, who defaced the property last year. A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with malicious mischief following the incident, which involved painting slogans on buildings and damaging the golf course.
In addition to Trump Turnberry, the U.S. President also owns the Trump International golf course in Aberdeenshire. Trump has been known to play rounds at both courses during his visits to Scotland, including a five-day trip last July.
As the employment fair approaches, the resort aims to draw a diverse group of candidates ready to explore the career opportunities available at this prestigious location.
