Bevan was serving a life sentence for the brutal murder of Lola James, his partner’s two-year-old daughter. He inflicted catastrophic head injuries during a horrifying six-hour attack in 2020, likened by medical professionals to the aftermath of a high-speed car crash. Lola suffered over 100 injuries, including scratches and bruises, before succumbing to her injuries.
The timeline of events reveals that Bevan, a known drug user, had moved in with Lola’s mother, Sinead James, shortly after meeting her on Facebook. He was convicted of murder in 2023 and was set to serve a minimum of 28 years in prison.
In an official statement, a Prison Service representative confirmed, “HMP Wakefield prisoner Kyle Bevan’s death was confirmed on November 5. We are unable to comment further while the police investigate.”
