BREAKING: The highly anticipated Ultimate Body Factory has officially opened its doors in the Allendale Shopping Center, located at 5 Cheshire Road, Pittsfield, MA. The gym, co-owned by local fitness enthusiasts AJ Bowman and Geoff Powell, launched today, delivering a fresh fitness experience designed for all levels, from beginners to competitive athletes.
This urgent update comes as the demand for quality fitness centers continues to rise in Berkshire County. Bowman emphasized the need for innovative fitness options, stating, “We both saw a need for something new in Berkshire County to complement and add to what is already available.” The duo’s vision has now materialized in a spacious 8,500-square-foot facility, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and a community-focused atmosphere.
The Ultimate Body Factory aims to revolutionize how residents approach fitness. Memberships start at $50 per month, with options for day and weekly passes, ensuring accessibility while maintaining a capped membership to prevent overcrowding. As Bowman noted, “A gym should be much more than just a workout spot. It should be a place people want to go because it offers a sense of belonging.”
Both owners have balanced their entrepreneurial venture with other careers; Bowman runs Boatman, a sustainable accessories brand, while Powell serves as an officer in the Dalton Police Department. Their journey to opening the gym involved securing financing, a process that required extensive preparation and collaboration with Lee Bank, which provided crucial support. “We couldn’t have done it without them,” Bowman remarked.
Inside, the gym features a unique blend of premium equipment not previously available in the region, including specialized machines from SuperFitness in North Carolina, such as the Arsenal Pendulum Squat and Nautilus Hack Squat. “When people first see it, they go, ‘Wow,’” Bowman said, highlighting the facility’s expansive layout, designed to inspire and motivate users.
The facility also includes a turf training area, specialized zones for strength training and conditioning, as well as two locker rooms and a small lounge area for relaxation and socializing. While classes are not yet available, Bowman stated, “That’s something we will add,” indicating plans for future growth.
The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the owners’ belief that they are meeting a significant demand. “People have been extremely supportive and enthusiastic,” Bowman shared. The Ultimate Body Factory is positioned to become a cornerstone of the local fitness community, and the owners are already exploring opportunities to expand their space within the Allendale complex as their gym continues to grow.
As the fitness landscape in Pittsfield evolves, the opening of the Ultimate Body Factory is a notable development that promises to enrich the lives of its members. Residents are encouraged to visit and explore the new facility, which aims to foster a positive and engaging fitness culture.
For those interested in joining, the gym is now open and ready to welcome new members to experience this innovative fitness hub. Stay tuned for more updates as the Ultimate Body Factory enhances its offerings and expands its community impact.
