UPDATE: An urgent investigation is underway following a shocking incident in West Dunbartonshire where two men were sprayed with an unknown liquid. The attack occurred on Carleith Avenue in the Duntocher area at approximately 4 PM on November 27.
The victims, aged 45 and 56, were inside a property when an unidentified assailant approached and sprayed them with the mysterious substance. Fortunately, neither man required medical attention. This alarming incident has left the local community on edge, as authorities work quickly to identify the suspect.
Described as a white male around 6 feet tall, the attacker was seen wearing all black clothing with his face covered. After committing the act, he fled the scene in a silver vehicle heading towards Beeches Road.
Detective Constable Nic Neeson is leading the investigation and has made a public appeal for information. “It’s vital we find the person responsible for this reckless act,” Neeson stated. “I’m appealing to the public for help in doing so. If you were in the Carleith Avenue or Beeches Road area around 4 PM yesterday and saw a man or vehicle matching the description, please contact us.”
Authorities are actively reviewing CCTV footage from the area as part of their investigation. The police urge anyone with private CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage to examine their recordings and share any significant information.
