Brits Scramble for Christmas Party Outfits as Stress Peaks

The festive season has arrived, and with it comes the challenge of selecting the perfect Christmas party outfit. Recent research reveals that a significant **74%** of Brits find themselves scrambling for the right attire at the last minute. The study, conducted by Primark, highlights that **42%** of respondents have experienced a fashion mishap during this busy time of year.

As holiday gatherings increase, the pressure to look stylish can take a toll. Primark’s findings indicate that two-thirds of individuals have spent up to **£50** replacing forgotten items, while **35%** have faced delays with online orders arriving late. Among those surveyed, **31%** identified choosing the right outfit as their primary pre-party concern, a figure that rises to **44%** for Londoners specifically.

Younger Brits, particularly those aged **25 to 34**, appear to be the most active partygoers, planning to attend five or more events this season. In response to these challenges, Primark has introduced an innovative solution to assist last-minute shoppers.

Introducing Santa’s SLAY-TMs

To alleviate the stress of last-minute outfit dilemmas, Primark has launched SLAY-TMs in London, Birmingham, and Manchester. These ATM-style stations will be operational from **December 3 to 5** between **10:00** and **17:00**. The festive rescue stations will be stocked with essential fashion and beauty items, including tights, accessories, makeup, and aftershave.

If a shopper cannot find what they need, the SLAY-TM will dispense **£10** Primark vouchers for each product, redeemable at nearby stores. This initiative aims to ensure that partygoers are well-prepared for their festive events.

Mary Lucas, Trading Director for Womenswear at Primark, stated, “Christmas should be about celebrating, not stressing over last-minute outfit dramas. We know people want to look and feel their best, with nearly a third (32%) of younger partygoers feeling more pressure to look good for the office Christmas party than for a date. But rushing from the desk to dancefloor makes it easy to forget a festive essential. That’s why we’re launching Santa’s SLAY-TMs across the country.”

The launch of the SLAY-TMs reflects Primark’s commitment to supporting customers during the festive season, allowing them to enjoy their celebrations without the added worry of outfit-related stress.
