A burglar has been sentenced to prison after a selfie featuring him with stolen Mercedes keys played a crucial role in his arrest. The police responded to a burglary report on October 15, 2023, where the homeowners discovered their property had been ransacked. Among the missing items were the keys to two high-end Mercedes vehicles parked outside. Thanks to swift police action, officers were able to retrieve security footage showing the suspects fleeing the scene.
Investigators managed to track down the suspects, identified as John Smith and Mark Jones (pseudonyms), after they posted selfies online flaunting the stolen keys.
