PCSO Daniel Eggleton stated, “Officers conducted a police operation checking vehicles to ensure drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts. Due to recent issues in the area, where drivers, passengers, and children are not wearing seatbelts when being dropped off or picked up from school.”
Motorists found in violation face fines of up to £500 if a child under 14 is not secured in the appropriate car seat or seatbelt. This is a critical reminder of the importance of road safety and compliance with traffic laws, especially concerning young passengers.
